Now for a little adult and family fun. . .
Did I mention that I LOVE Halloween? Well if I haven't I am sure you had some idea by now, that I do! Our family seems to have our own traditions, but sometimes it is fun to add in something new.
I did a little research for all of you. Although there are many options out there, here are a few that I thought looked like a LOT of fun.
Family Fun:
How about costumes and pumpkin carving at the Seattle Aquarium for "Aquarium Halloween"? This event is both on Saturday and Sunday. For more info go to www.SeattleAquarium.org/halloween
Port Orchard is having a Ghost Train. You can take the kids on the train for $5/ride. Wear costumes and go trick-or-treating. This event is on October 29th and goes from 5-9 pm. Line starts forming about 4:30. It is at South Kitsap Regional Parks at SE Marbeth Lane. You can purchase tickets there or in advance at www.universe.com. This is a fundraiser that helps support Kitsap Foster Kids. What fun and a great way to help support the foster families and these kids!
If it is raining (and we do live in the PNW so that is a big possibility), maybe you are looking for some family fun indoors. SEEFilm in downtown Bremerton will be having a Family Fun Movie Event on October 29 at 11 am. They will be showing "Hotel Transylvania". Adult tickets are $10, kids 5-12 are $8.
Finally, maybe you want to get in a run before you eat all that Halloween candy. Dress up in costumes and head to the Bremerton YMCA. They are hosting a Halloween Hustle 5K. It starts with a Costume Contest followed by the run. Cost to Y members is free. $10 for non-members or if you are a family the cost is $20. Lots of other fun for the kids at the Y until 1 pm that day. Register at their Welcome Center.

One last important item that I can't let go by about Halloween- SAFETY!!!!
I found this great site with tips to keep Halloween safe for all those scary kids out there. Look it over, print it out, and better yet, share it (or share this blog and the fun!) to keep this a FUN night!
