Waterfront Park
I am fortunate to have my office is in Old Towne Silverdale, which is located directly across from the Waterfront Park. This park is not only beautiful with its beaches, but it also offers many activities. At any time, you will see families with their children enjoying the playground, people sitting on blankets having a picnic (quite possibly from one of them many local restaurants), or others simply kicking back after a long day to watch a fabulous Pacific Northwest sunset. The trails are great for a long walk or run. There is a public boat launch for boating enthusiasts. Kayaking and a rowing club are some other possibilities. Grab your best friend, whether it is a human or a dog, (yes, even your furry friends are welcome at this park!) and come down and enjoy everything that this amazing park has to offer.
The Waterfront Park hosts many activities during Whaling Days. Whaling Days is an annual festival that takes place every July. This is a must attend event for many of the locals, because it has so much to offer. It features Kitsap County's largest music festival, a parade, a run, the duck race, street fair, foods from local venues, a beer and wine garden, fireworks and so much more! If you are out this weekend, make sure you check out: http://whalingdays.com/festival.
Come back soon as I will be telling you more about the beautiful area we live in and reviewing other spots that will want you to visit over and over again in Kitsap County!
